SUTRA

Saturated-Unsaturated TRAnsport

Saturated-Unsaturated TRAnsport (SUTRA) is a groundwater model that captures saturated and unsaturated flow dynamics in the subsurface. It also simulates pollutant transport and sorption processes for contaminants.

Spatial Resolution
Spatial resolution and mesh sizes and shapes are variable. Spatial scale is user defined.
Temporal Resolution
Temporal resolution is variable and set based on the time steps over which input parameters vary. Smaller time steps are correlated with increased accuracy of model results.
Outputs
Outputs specifics include water quality characteristics.
