Storm Prediction Tools
Storm Prediction Tools is a meteorological dataset including a compilation of atmospheric, weather and other storm data. All data are collected or simulated by the National Weather Service (NWS).

- Model Information
- For more information about this model, go to www.spc.noaa.gov
- Spatial Resolution
- Spatial resolution is based on the defined input data used. Sounding data is collected at one to a few locations per state. Storm data is based on 9 mesoscale climate regions.
- Temporal Resolution
- Typically a 3-12 hour time step is used. A more refined time step is used for storm prediction data.
- Outputs
- Outputs include severe storm predictions, and historical data for sounding, wind, fire potential, and precipitation.
