Model Information
For more information about this model, go to www.spc.noaa.gov
Spatial Resolution
Spatial resolution is based on the defined input data used. Sounding data is collected at one to a few locations per state. Storm data is based on 9 mesoscale climate regions.
Temporal Resolution
Typically a 3-12 hour time step is used. A more refined time step is used for storm prediction data.
Outputs
Outputs include severe storm predictions, and historical data for sounding, wind, fire potential, and precipitation.
