KINEROS2
Kinematic Runoff and Erosion Model
The kinematic runoff and erosion model (KINEROS2) is a rural and urban watershed model that captures flow infiltration, flow routing, and sediment transport.

- USDA ARS
- Model Information
- For more information about this model, go to www.tucson.ars.ag.gov
- Spatial Resolution
- Area of analysis ranges from small field areas to whole watersheds. The region is then subdivided into elements. Parameters are defined for each element.
- Temporal Resolution
- Time steps are on the order of minutes as the event based models require a small time step. Internal time step will adjust automatically to achieve desired numerical accuracy.
- Outputs
- Outputs include runoff predictions and sediment discharge per element.
