Delft3D
Delft3D is an integrated hydrodynamic modeling suite that can simulate two- and three-dimensional flow, water quality, sediment transport, ocean and tide dynamics and near shore wave dynamics.

- Model Information
- For more information about this model, go to www.deltares.nl
- Spatial Resolution
- The spatial resolution is based on the defined grid cells. Grid cell shape can be rectilinear, curvilinear or spherical. Vertical grid dimension is defined on the sigma coordinate basis.
- Temporal Resolution
- The temporal resolution is defined based on the number of time steps from a specified reference date and time. Time step is set by user usually on the order of minutes. Model Time step should set based on achieving a CFL (Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy Number) of <10. Model default time step is 1 minute.
- Outputs
- Outputs specifics include flood extents, flow, and water quality characteristics.
